Dirk Rijneke and Mildred van Leeuwaarden founded the film production company Rotterdam Films in the early 1980´s. Its core business is the production and co-production of high quality documentaries and fiction films for cinematic release.

WING, THE FISH THAT TALKED BACK WING, the fish that talked back March 2010. The film wins the Jury Prize at the short film festival 'de la Cote Bleue' in France. Also awarded as Best International Short in the United States. The film received a special mention at the International Amsterdam Film Festival in the category Best Dutch short film.
